A lot of my orange cloud glass pieces (99%) were acquired in
New Zealand and Australia. I was told that in early 20th century,
orange was not popular for domestic market in the UK and majority of the
production was exported, especially to this part of the world. I bought my
first orange piece (column vase in the middle) about 14 years ago from an old
collectible shop in Manukau Road in Auckland. One of the shorter vases above
was bought from the collectible market in Alexandra Park for $4.
Once deemed too loud, orange cloud glass is now much sought
after amongst cloud glass collectors. I am lucky to have obtained my orange
pieces when they were not too pricey.
